The Putnam City Pirates are coming off a 15-12 season and they are entering this one ready to prove that they belong. Fourth year head coach, Daniel Cunningham, says that his team is ready to get this season going. “We will be bigger than we were last year,” he said. “But we will have the same mentality of pressure on both ends of the floor.” Point guard Kendural Jolly (5-8, Sr.) returns after averaging 14 points, three assists, and 2.1 steals per game last season. Shemar Benford-Miles (6-3, Sr.) is a strong player at forward and make a big contribution this season. Kolby Wallace (5-9, Sr.) and David Hunt (6-1, So.) will both look to make big impacts on the floor for the Pirates this season.
