Leading Walters’ offense this year will be six returning starters, four of whom will be playing their last season for the Blue Devils. Quarterback Josh Munn (6-0, 180, Sr.) will head up the multi-pro style formation.

Munn will look to his running backs, Remington White (5-8, 130, Sr.) and William Wauqua (5-10, 160, Sr.), to pick up some yards and utilize their speed.

Tight end Xavier McDonald (6-2, 200, Sr.) will also play a versatile role in their offensive lineup.

Juniors Rylan Penn (5-10, 160, Jr.) and Therrel Penn (6-2, 280, Jr.) will round out the offense. Rylan will return to fill his spot as wide receiver, while Therrel will block opponents from the line.

Head coach Chuck Terry says that whatever the team lacks in experience, they make up for in their athleticism within their skilled positions. They will use their speed and quickness to their advantage.

Seniors White and McDonald also start in defense, DB and DE respectively. Juniors Rylan and Therrel Penn join them with Therrel holding down the line and Rylan in the back.

Nate Mosier (6-2, 230, Jr.) is another returning defensive player on the line. Seth Eidson (6-3, 160, Jr.) will join White and Penn as another defensive back.

The Blue Devils have been putting in work during offseason and are ready to get out on the field. Coach Terry looks forward to seeing what the future holds.

“Players spent time working hard in the weight room during the offseason,” said Terry. “We are getting stronger both physically and mentally. If we can develop the young athletes that are coming in to fill the roles vacated on the line, we should experience success to compete in Class A.”
