Last 5 Years:

OFFENSE

Head coach Austin Martin takes over a Colcord Hornets team that went 5-6 in 2017. Coach Martin has liked what he has seen in spring practice and summer pride workouts are going well.

“Excited about the work and time athletes have put in during spring and early summer. They have football on their minds,” said coach Martin.

Running the spread offense is quarterback Raven Difrancisco (5-10, 180, Sr.). The senior can run with the ball and find the open man in the passing game. One guy he will look for is tight end Chad Kendrick (6-6, 245, Sr.). A big target, Kendrick can also make blocks at the line or downfield. Speaking of blockers, look for Colten Dale (6-1, 220, Sr.) at tackle and Benton Denny (5-11, 190, Sr.) at guard. Running back Blake Gonzalez (5-6, 155, Jr.) will benefit from having those three making holes. Dustin Foreman (5-9, 175, Sr.) is the main target in the passing game.

DEFENSE

Jaden Chandler (5-7, 180, Jr.) leads the 3-4 defense from his outside linebacker spot with fellow linebacker Hayden Duncan (5-11, 185, So.). Both guys are quick to the ball and love the physical aspect of the game. A.J. Nichols (5-9, 250, So.) will wreak havoc from his one technique and Tyler Duncan (6-0, 210, Jr.) will come off the edge at end. Malcolm Potter (5-10, 175, Sr.) is a thumper at inside linebacker and Aidan Parker (5-9, 175, So.) is an exciting safety to watch in the secondary.
