Piecing together an offense will be the first order of business for new coach Matt Weber as he returns to take over control of the Outlaw program. The graduation of the several talented skill players leaves Marlow lacking in experience for the new coach. Three remaining starters return for another year led by wide receiver Tag Allen (6-0, 180, Jr.) who had 15 catches for 247 yards in his sophomore season. Also presenting an attractive target for whoever the new quarterback will be is tight end Seth Aguilera (6-1, 220, Jr.). The Outlaws will also have one experienced lineman that be the focus for team leadership in Trevor Hornberger (6-1, 230, Sr.). Weber will install an I-formation offense and hopes to establish a strong running game. Perhaps working in Marlow’s favor will be that they will have some time to get things going as they don’t face the toughest part of their district schedule until October.

Aguilera, who recorded 47 tackles last year from a defensive end spot, will be one of the go-to guys in the Marlow defense. Also on the defensive line with experience is Hunter Havron (5-10, 230, Jr.) at tackle. The leading tackler back from last year will be linebacker Carson Moore (6-0, 180, So.) who put up 62 tackles as a freshman. As with the offense, graduation took its toll on the Marlow defense, so the new coach will have to hit the ground running as he looks for the next group of Outlaws to groom into a solid defensive unit.

“We are excited to get this year started. Our guys have been working hard in the weight room and are a great group of young men,” said Weber.
